I come from broken dreams and shattered glass
For you and me to be the one and all
But you have left my heart a shattered mess
You have devastated me; made me stall
The tears break forth, coming down from me,
Tears like cruel laughter, mocking rise.
As if the sunset broke above the sea,
And how I'd leapt my heart with mad surprise.
Awake the flowers; hearts will turn to weeds,
In thorns, evil dreams in deadly repose.
Like ruined gardens, engraved of love's seeds.
A garden stolen of it's fairest rose.
Approach love's holy danger, and the oath
The birth of a soul, to a sick, sick death.
Shattered Sunset
